Images 1-3 show that the diffusion properties of NeuroVue (NV) Maroon and NV Red are well matched. Filter strips were inserted into the olivocochlear efferent bundle in the brainstem near the facial genu of a mouse and after 4 weeks at 36oC the cochlea was prepared as a flat mount and imaged.
Images 4-6 show that the diffusion properties of NV Maroon and NV Orange are well matched. Filter strips were inserted into the olivocochlear efferent bundle in the brainstem near the facial genu of a mouse and after 2 weeks at 36oC the cochlea was prepared as a flat mount and imaged.
Images 7-9 show the effects of tail length modification on transcellular diffusion. Filter strips co-coated with NV Red and a shorter tail analog of NV Maroon were inserted into the olivocochlear efferent bundle in the brainstem near the facial genu of a mouse. After 2 weeks at 36oC the cochlea was prepared as flat mount and imaged.
