Microring® GV
Microring® GV for identification of Gardnerella vaginalis. Description: Paper ring with 4 individual printed tips containing various antimicrobial reagents. On blood agar Gardnerella is identified by sensitivity to 3 designated tips and resistance to 1 tip.
Method of use: A suspension of test organism is spread onto a plate containing Columbia Agar with blood. One Microring® GV is laid on top of agar, and plate is incubated overnight at 37°C. Following incubation growth patterns around each tip are read and used to identify the organism.
