Flow Check® YG Size Range Calibration Kit

Flow cytometry is a highly accurate technology used for cell measurements. High quality particles, supplied from Polysciences, are used to calibrate these instruments. Particles are manufactured primarily for inclusion in diagnostic assays and are purchased in liters and possibly hundreds of liters at a time. Flow cytometer users economically benefit from this synthesis strategy. Polysciences’ particle suspensions may be over ten times more concentrated than competitive materials and lower in price. Shelf life for our Flow Check® beads is two years from date of shipment. No leaching, degradation, or contamination is expected. Store material at 4ºC and protect from light. No biocides are added during the manufacturing process. DI water is recommended for all particle handling and dilution operations.

This kit contains suspensions of four high intensity microparticles, which have been tested under flow cytometry conditions for uniformity of size and fluorescent signal. The kit contains 10ml of each of the following nominal particle sizes; 0.5µm, 1.0µm, 2.0µm and 6.0µm (with particle concentrations as listed). The YG dye mimics the spectral properties of FITC without the leaching common to FITC.
