Methanol Fixative for Hematology

For use as a fixative prior to staining bloody specimen material or blood culture supematant fluid. Methanol preserves the morphology of red blood cells as well as bacteria and parasites.

RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE:  Place material to be stained on a clean glass slide. Flood slide with methanol fixative for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Drain without rinsing and allow slide to air dry prior to staining.
