Purolite® ECR1091F Macroporous styrene is a styrene resin with a high degree of hydrophobicity and medium porosity. ECR1091F Macroporous styrene is optimal for the immobilization of lipases, is stable during storage and can be easily handled before and after immobilization procedures.
ECR1091F Macroporous styrene is produced via a very intense crosslinking in the presence of a porogenic agent that allows the calibration of porosity. The high porosity and very high surface area facilitate mass transfer.
ECR1091F Macroporous styrene is mechanically very stable and the final immobilized biocatalysts can be used in both stirred tank or bed reactor.
ECR1091F is compliant with Resolution ResAP 2004 (3) on ion exchange and adsorbent resins used in the processing of foodstuffs.
