Purolite® C100x16MBH, High Capacity Strong Acid Cation Resin, H Form is a premium high purity grade of conventional gel poly(styrene sulphonate) cation-exchange resin. Its high bead integrity, excellent chemical and physical stability, good resistance to oxidation and specially tailored particle size play a large part in its successful employment in the hydrogen cycle both in co-flow and counter-flow regeneration. It may also be regenerated to various resin salt forms.
The exceptionally high volume capacity for a strong acid cation resin can ensure high loadings of specific ions if required. C100x16MBH shows a high selectivity for heavy metals. It can also be used to exclude specific molecules of high molecular weight. Its specially tailored size range ensures efficient operation at higher flow rates. Where better exchange rates and efficient regenerant utilisation are required, a resin with a higher moisture content, such as C100 is recommended.
C100x16MBH is also suitable to be used as the cation component in regenerable mixed beds. Its specially tailored particle size and its high specific gravity ensures excellent separation from the corresponding MB grade anion resin. Though care has to be taken to ensure a good mixing of the components after regeneration.
