Osteo-Bed is a methyl methacrylate-based material formulated for embedding large and small mineralized (undecalcified) bone specimens. Osteo-Bed Bone can be removed from the section allowing the use of staining procedures similar to a paraffin section. Osteo-Bed Bone is also recommended for immunohistochemistry procedures performed on trephines and other non-decalcified bone or soft tissues.
Osteo-Bed Bone specimen should be sectioned on a microtome designed to cut hard tissue.
Note: Material is not water-soluble.
