Purolite® MN202, Macroporous Inert Adsorbent is particularly suitable for the efficient sorption of high molecular weight organic molecules with lipophilic properties as are typically found in waste waters from industrial processes. These include complex organics such as dyestuffs or pesticides. One of the main advantages of this product is that it can in many cases be regenerated more easily than other materials. Where the loaded organics contain acidic functionality, it is often possible to desorb using hot aqueous or aqueous methanol alkaline regenerants. Use of hot water and/or steam is also effective for removing organic solvents. The addition of detergents to improve desorption can also be effective.
