Diaminobenzidine (DAB) removal system for hand staining work for volumes <2 liters. Chemically extracts diaminobenzidine from liquid waste generated in IHC staining. The liquid effluent passed through the DAB/Out™ cartridge can be safely poured down the drain. The replaceable cartridge, which has trapped the DAB, is disposable as a dry-solid hazardous waste. DAB/Out™ reduces exposure and eliminates neutralization procedures, while providing a cost effective and environmentally safe alternative to drain disposal.

Value – provides an environmentally safe method for DAB waste disposal. Easy-to-use system is a cost effective alternative to other methods of waste management. Simple hands-off operation reduces exposure and minimizes technical training time.

Process – Advanced filtration technology is used to chemically bind DAB to the matrix inside the cartridge. The bench-top system cartridge is practical for managing waste generated from manual IHC staining procedures. Each new cartridge comes with bactericide ampoules to limit bacteria contamination and growth. Each cartridge can process approximately 8 liters of waste solution.

Convenience – Small size saves valuable lab space and allows the system to be portable. No dangerous or ineffective neutralization procedures. Waste is treated at the point of generation so there is no build-up of hazardous chemical waste in the lab.
