Polysciences has been in the business of science for more than 60 years. We’re a family-owned company in Warrington, PA with a campus that’s home to administrative, laboratory, analytical instrument, cleanroom, manufacturing, packaging and warehouse spaces. Polysciences is the founding company of what is now the extended Ott Scientific family of companies, which additionally includes Bangs Laboratories and Ethos Biosciences.

Our Work
Together, we deliver innovative chemistries, products and services that support advancements in highly specialized industries such as medical device, diagnostics, bioprocessing, fine chemicals and technology. Much of what we make is used to develop innovations that improve quality of life, advance health or treat disease. Some of these include:

  • reagents used to develop new biotherapies for disease;
  • biocompatible polymers used to make intraocular lenses for cataract surgery;
  • specialized coatings for implanted cardiac stents or surgical meshes;
  • dyes and stains used in clinical and veterinary pathology laboratories;
  • specialty disinfectants and cleaners used in labs and cleanrooms.

Safety
As parts of our business feature laboratory, manufacturing and warehouse spaces, safety must be at the forefront, and employee safety is of utmost importance. Our facilities feature state-of-the art safety systems and oversight is provided by our certified safety committee. We offer thorough safety training and personal protective equipment, including free uniforms, safety shoes and prescription safety glasses. We regularly review our safety systems, conduct ongoing training, and solicit employee feedback and ideas for continuous improvements.
Stewardship
As a specialty chemical company, we believe in being responsible chemical and environmental stewards, and we’re ardent supporters of and certified to SOCMA’s ChemStewards® Management System. We endeavor to be prudent with the use of raw materials and resources, minimize process waste, recycle chemical components and their containers and packaging where possible, and dispose of waste in an environmentally-responsible manner.
