Heparin, sodium salt (Sodium heparin, from porcine intestinal mucosa)
Anticoagulant. Heparin binds and activates the plasma protein antithrombin III which inhibits several enzymes in the blood coagulation cascade.
Minimum activity: 140-150 USP units/mg
