Tricyclodecane dimethanol diacrylate
C18H24O4
Tricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]decanedimethanol diacrylate (TCDDA) is a multifunctional monomer with excellent hydrolytic stability. It is useful in optical coating formulations due to its high refractive index. The sterically hindered cyclic ring structure offers good curing speeds as well as low volume shrinkage in polymerization.
TCDDA is used in optical lens and optical fiber applications due to its high refractive index. It is also used in dental composite applications for its low volume shrinkage.
